April 2015

I made this short character study for my film class during my senior year. It also ran on The Alligator website as a student feature where it gained over 6,000 views. This was my first experience using external microphones for the interview, instead of the camera microphone, and it really made a difference to the sounds quality. I used a DSLR camera and Adobe Premiere to make the video.

March 2014

I filmed and edited this story about Gainesville’s feminist bookstore using Adobe Premiere and a  Canon point-and-shoot camera. I tried to get as many performers shown in the three minutes as I could so that the viewer feels like they were actually there at the event. I begin the film with a sound clip from one of the performers to show the audience what the mood was at the open mic. I tried to show not only the performers, but how the audience would react to the performers. All my thanks to Erica Merrell and Wild Iris Books for letting me document such an experience.

July 2013

This was the first video that I ever shot and edited myself. This assignment gave me an opportunity to build on my skills using Adobe Premier and whet my appetite for wanting to learn how to produce content that could be shared online.
